Flush Mount Wedding Album
Making a perfect leather wedding albums can be a difficult task. If you can afford a mistake or two in other albums, wedding albums demands to be absolutely perfect.
One of the techniques of success is preparing your work flow. Setting up the final structure of your album, and sorting your pictures, will let you focus on planning individual pages. Try using these steps to get you going : settle on a format the 1st call to make is the format and size of your album. Look at the photographs from the marriage day, would a picture or landscape shape work better? If you’ve a majority of landscape shots you can doubtless wish to have a landscape format album and vice versa.
Square albums are well liked by album designers, mainly because they will display both portrait and landscape shots well.
How many pages? Work out how many photographs you wish to use and do a coarse calculation of the quantity of pages you will need. Many album makers will permit you to add or take away from their standard number of pages, so you could be in a position to change this later if you want to. Sort your images into the different stages of the day jot down a list of all the photographs you intend to use, dividing them into different stages of the day : preparations, the occassion, the formals, the reception and so on.
Copy them into separate labelled folders on your PC. Add 1 or 2 more photographs than you believe you can desire, this may give you some choice later on you do not have to use every one of them. Prepare a group of numbered folders Make a numbered folder on your PC for each double page spread i.e. 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, permitting for single start and finish pages if necessary. Put them in a parent folder and name it. Move the photographs from the stage folders, that you sorted formerly, into the numbered folders, working thru the day. Begin to visualise approximately how many photographs you wish to use on each page, and how they may be laid out. Make allowance for some full page spreads and some pages with more smaller images. You can notice that you need to add or take away pages at this time. You should then have a collection of folders, containing the pictures for each page, prepared to use.
Work on your pictures Assuming that you’ve already done basic corrections on your photographs, go thru the numbered folders and do all of your last work on each file. If you are working in Photoshop, save everything as layered Photoshop Documents ( .psd ) in case you would like to make changes. You can make further adjustments at any stage, but it’ll make the process more streamlined if you have everything prepared and can drop in pictures while not having to stop and work on them. Save the pictures back to the numbered folders. Think about your style consider the sort of look you need. Are you going for an easy layout which will keep the viewer’s attention on the pictures, or do you need to make it more complicated, using background photographs, bleeds and other effects? Try for a consistent style across the album. Layout your pages Time to do the work. Design your pages and spreads using your selected software, this can change dependent on private preference and the prerequisites of different manufacturers. Design is too large a subject to cover in this piece if you do not feel assured about your design abilities, look at other races’ albums and see what makes the best ones stick out.
Have a break After you have finished your layouts, leave them for a bit and come back later on. Allowing a little bit of time between planning and last checking will enable you to see your work with fresher eyes. Look at what you have done and see if you can make any enhancements.
Order your album When you have done your last checks, prepare your pages to the makers specs, size, resolution for example. And send them off to be revealed and bound. Job done!
